The Path of Niudla -- The Faith of Dungeoneering

Materials, biomes, foods, colours and weapons are irrelevant to Niudla. As you cannot build his shrine, I'm not even going to bother.

The three sacred levels of Niudla (difficulty levels):

  • Elves Just Wanna Have Fun
  • Dwarvish Moderation (A Practical Approach to Dungeoneering)
  • Going Rogue (Because Losing is Fun)

Elves Just Wanna Have Fun

=== --Level One - Murderer of Crows-===

  1. Higher Learning: Find a naturally-occuring bookshelf block. They can be found in either Strongholds or the TESTIFICATE doc's house. Spend one full day, uninterrupted (except to eat) in front of it to learn about Niudla. Take it with you. Turn difficulty to EASY.
  2. Dungeoneer's Creed: Find a ruin of some kind. Can be a Dungeon, Mineshaft or Stronghold, and build a base in/around it. Your base must contain the bookshelf block you took, a furnace, double-chest, workbench and bed.
  3. The Book of Armaments: One of the books you found about Niudla commands you to arm yourself. Make a sword of any type and/or a bow and at least 16 arrows.
  4. Basic Training: Slay ten of every non-hostile animal (chickens, cows, sheep (you don't have to kill 10 of every colour, just 10 sheep total), pigs and squid).

--Level Two - Huntard-

  1. Ender of Endermen: Acquire at least 12 Enderpearls. Store them in the chest in your base.
  2. Remember me?: Start a mining operation near your base, and acquire a diamond pick (other tools optional) and 10 Obsidian.
  3. We Need to Go Deeper!: Build a Nether portal (dirt corners). Acquire at least 10 Blaze Rods. When you return, mash 6 of them into Blaze powder, and use the powder and the Enderpearls to make Eyes of Ender.
  4. Closer to The End: If you aren't already in one, relocate to a Stronghold. Light up the entire place, and kill all mobs (including the dreaded Silverfish) in it. Use this as your new base (move everything from your old base here too). Make a new mining operation while you're at it. Sacrifice 1 diamond to the lava pit in the portal room. This is your new shrine room. Do not put anything in it.

--Level Three - Archeologist-

  1. Elder Knowledge: Spend 5 IRL minutes in the/a library room of your Stronghold. If your Stronghold does not have a library, make one (doesn't have to be an exact copy).
  2. Final Preparations: Make an enchantment table and brewing stand, and make at least 5 of each potion.
  3. FUS RO DAH!: Enchant your sword with Knockback 1 or higher. If you are not yet the required level, a different enchantment will suffice.
  4. Are You Sure You're Ready?: Kill 5 of every mob except Skeleton Jockeys; of which you must only kill 1.

--Level Four: Dovahkiin-

  1. A Leap of Faith: Use the Eyes of Ender you collected to open the End portal. Jump in.
  2. Dragonslayer!: Slay the Enderdragon as well as it's egg.The End?:
  3. Go to YouTube and play the Dovahkiin Theme music as many times as necessary until the credits finish rolling.
  4. Niudla Frowns Upon You.: Congrats, you finished! However, Niudla is not pleased with your poor performance. Destroy everything you have in the End portal.
  5. In Case of Emergency...: Niudla still isn't pleased. Fling yourself into the lava pit below the former portal, and delete the world. You have failed with your Elvish weakness.
